Sunglasses not only reflect your image and style but also should protect your eyes from the harmful uv rays of the sun. Ultraviolet (UV)radiation is damaging to your eyes and has been linked to eye diseases such as cataracts, macular degeneration and skin cancer on the eyelids. Not all sunglasses are created equal. Many inexpensive sunglasses do not protect your eyes from all harmful UV rays and have imperfections in the lenses that cause distortion which can lead to headaches and eye strain. When choosing a sunglass it is helpful to remember these tips: Protection: Look for a good quality optical lens that is free of distortion and has 100% UV protection up to 400 nm. Quality sunglasses safeguard your eyes.
Comfort: Here there are two considerations 1) Sunglasses should block 75-100% of the Infrared rays from the sun to prevent your skin from feeling warm - and your eyes hot and dry. Blocking these rays improves overall eye comfort. 2) Back surface antireflective coatings are on most high quality sunglasses. The antireflection coating allows light coming from behind you to pass through the lens instead of reflecting into your eye.
Fashion: Besides protecting your eyes and enhancing performance, sunglasses help you look and feel great! Frame Quality: Well made frames are critical to long wearing comfort, performance and durability. It is important to choose the right frame material for your needs. We have both custom prescription and non prescription sunglasses that utilize top quality optical materials mixed with style to enhance your vision, performance and comfort. The following is a list of some of the sunglass lines we carry.
